FEES & POLICIES
Silverlake Conservatory of Music reserves the right to change policies, fees, or waivers at any time.
CONSERVATORY REGISTRATION & TUITION
There is a one-time $30 registration fee for each family at the time of registration. Tuition is $120 per month for weekly half hour lessons. Tuition is paid in advance for all Silverlake Conservatory of Music programs. Your tuition reserves a weekly lesson time. The time of your lesson has been reserved and is unavailable to any other student. Tuition is neither reduced nor refunded due to missed lessons by the student. Tuition is paid monthly, it is not calculated by the weekly lesson. Your monthly tuition rate is the same each month even though some months will have five (5) lessons and others as few as three (3). Holiday and break closures have been calculated into the monthly tuition rate.
Registration and tuition fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Late Fees
If tuition payment is not received by the seventh day of the month it is considered late and a $30 late fee will be applied. There will be no exceptions. It is the responsibility of the student/parent to ensure tuition is paid in a timely manner. Silverlake Conservatory of Music reserves the right to suspend or discontinue instruction of any student who is delinquent in fulfilling his/her/their financial obligations at any time.
DISMISSAL
Silverlake Conservatory of Music reserves the right to dismiss any student due to frequent absences, disciplinary problems, overdue tuition payments and/or parental noncompliance with Silverlake Conservatory of Music policies.
STUDENT ABSENCE AND MAKE-UP LESSONS
Lessons canceled by the student will not be made up, nor will a refund/credit be given. Exceptions in cases of unforeseen illness, accident or emergency may be considered and arranged at the discretion of the teacher and administration. In order for any exceptions to be considered the student/parent must call/email Silverlake Conservatory as soon as possible. If the student/parent does not call/email in advance, no exception will be offered.
STUDENT ILLNESS
No students should attend lessons when sick (i.e. fever, nausea, vomiting, etc.). Silverlake Conservatory of Music reserves the right to dismiss a student from a scheduled lesson if the student arrives exhibiting symptoms of illness. In that case, a makeup lesson will not be offered.
DISCONTINUING LESSONS
There is no long-term contract. To discontinue lessons please notify the front desk in advance. If notice is not given at least one week prior to the first lesson of the month the student/parent will be responsible for the next month’s tuition.
INSTRUCTOR ABSENCES
In the event of an instructor absence, Silverlake Conservatory reserves the right to provide a qualified substitute or schedule a timely make-up session for lessons missed. Silverlake Conservatory reserves the right to replace current instructor with a new qualified instructor.
