Fees & Policies - Silverlake Conservatory of Music

CONSERVATORY REGISTRATION & TUITION

There is a one-time $50 registration fee for each family at the time of registration.

Tuition is $150 per month for weekly half hour lessons and due by your first lesson of the month. The time of your lesson has been reserved for you and is unavailable to any other student. Tuition is the same monthly rate regardless of how many weeks are in the month. Tuition is not a “per class” fee.

Holiday and break closures have been calculated into the monthly tuition rate.

Registration and tuition fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

MISSED LESSONS

There are no credits or makeups for missed lessons. Please notify SCM at least 24 hours prior to the lesson. No refunds shall be given for missed lessons for any reason.

LATE FEES

If tuition payment is not received by the seventh (7) day of the month, it is considered late and a $30 fee will be applied. It is the responsibility of the student/parent to ensure tuition is paid in a timely manner.

DISMISSAL

SCM reserves the right to dismiss any student due to frequent absences, disciplinary problems, overdue tuition payments and/or parental noncompliance with SCM policies.

STUDENT ILLNESS

No students should attend lessons when sick (i.e. fever, nausea, vomiting, etc.).

DISCONTINUING LESSONS

To discontinue lessons, please notify the front desk prior to the start of the next month. If notice is not given in advance, the student/parent will be responsible for the next month’s tuition.

INSTRUCTOR ABSENCES

In the event of an instructor absence, SCM reserves the right to provide a qualified substitute. If a substitute is not provided, a prorate will be issued for the following month.

CHILD SAFETY

Make sure your child arrives at their lesson and that their teacher is present. SCM is not responsible for unattended students. Behavior that is in any way unruly or disruptive to our students is unacceptable.

RELEASE

Any photographs, audio or videos of students or families on SCM facilities and/or events may be used in promotional publications, website or press releases. There will be no compensation for the release.
